“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.”  Maya Angelou

The IAMCP Women in Technology put together another spectacular framework for networking and education at Microsoft Inspire 2018!  WIT is at it again with a packed schedule of events hoping to Inspire all the Women in Technology to blaze forward and be Agents of Change to help transform the world we live in.

Sunday kicks off the weeklong conference with our second Mentorship Circles event that will feature an international panel of speakers who will share how they are affecting change for women and girls around the world through the power of technology. This unique session is open to both partners attending the conference and remote participants via Skype!

On Monday, we have two events: our Business Leadership Session and our Happy Hour! Our Business Leadership session will feature a panel of distinguished speakers on “Using Your Power for Good, Why Doing Good is Good for Business” which will certainly be inspiring and informative. Our Happy Hour, sponsored by Blue Metal/Insight will feature a fun yet educational improv presentation on how to be an Agent of Change from Nancy Watt. This event features champagne and some awesome WIT swag! Who doesn’t love both of those things?

On Tuesday, we feature our flagship event, the Women in Technology charity luncheon. The charity we are supporting this year is Harvest for Humanity and the Girls Leadership Conference in Haiti. We are very proud to be able to donate $15,000 to this organization with sincere thanks to Jabra and others who will be sponsoring this great event. As for the luncheon, this year we are expecting over 700 guests, our largest luncheon ever!  We are thrilled to have secured a Microsoft executive leadership panel of Gavriella Schuster, Kathleen Hogan and Julia White who will all be helping us bust common myths about Women in Technology and sharing their personal stories of being a Woman in Technology!

Also, some exciting news, this year we are promoting our first annual #WITsUp Awards!  We have four award categories including: Leadership, Pay it Forward Mentor, Man of WIT, Chapter of the Year. These awards will be announced and presented at the IAMCP Prometheus Award Ceremony. And, please drop by the IAMCP and Women in Technology booths in the Community Hub at any time!
